Learn how to design and screen-print floral fabrics in a fun and relaxing environment. Working from fresh flowers, you’ll design floral stencils to screenprint in a variety of colours. You’ll leave the workshop with 2 pieces of printed fabric and either a tote bag or tea towel with your final design, plus the opportunity to create a lampshade with your design on.
During this workshop you will:
-Understand how screenprinting works
-Learn how to create floral motifs from fresh flowers
-Use flowers to create a stencil- (drawing skills not needed!)
-Prepare the screen and fabric for printing
-Print 2 pieces of fabric in a variety of colours
-Print a tote bag or tea towel
-Make your own printed lampshade (£10 additional cost for lampshade)

This afternoon workshop will teach you the basic principles of designing for print, and screenprinting, using A5 size printing screens. As a follow on from this evening workshop check out my 6-week textile design clubs (starting Sept 2019).
