Day of the Dead Mosaic Workshop

Day of the Dead or Día de Muertos is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico. It is acknowledged internationally in many other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey.

In this workshop we will introduce you to the amazing Mexican Day of the Dead celebration to make your own Sugar Skull Mosaic; a mosaic that expresses something of yourself, a reflection of your spirit, or a way to celebrate the soul of a departed loved one. You will be guided through an array of mosaic techniques and have an extensive range of material on hand for you to create and take home your treasured piece of art.

Suitable for all levels. Children under 8 yrs must be accompanied by an adult, over 8 yr olds can be dropped off with us for the workshop.

The workshop will be run by Julie Norburn artist a qualified teacher and arts educator and a mindful therapeutic practitioner with over 35 years of professional experience, also an accomplished artist, specialising in drawing, mosaic and ceramic art forms. https://www.creativechance.co.uk
