An evening of informative talks about women's health and wellbeing.
About this event
Join us at what we hope will be a stimulating and illuminating evening where women give back to each other.
Our four speakers specialise in different aspects of women's health and wellbeing. Each will share useful insights and practical advice on a given topic.
The topics covered will be: the importance of developing a healthy relationship with oneself; the changes that occur across the years of the menopause transition; the impact of touch on our physical and mental health and information about free courses, coaching and support available for local women wishing to learn about marketing, setting up a business, returning to work, improving confidence - and more.
Each talk will be 15 minutes with an interval and Q&A panel afterwards. There will be a pay bar and food available.
The aim of these talks is to provide all women of all ages with a supportive community in which to learn, share and support each other in both their personal and professional lives.
Hope to see you there.
Vanessa

Your Host:
Vanessa Potter is a self-experimenting author, producer, TEDx speaker and wellness advocate. Vanessa became a “human guinea pig” for science after finding herself blind and paralysed following a neurological illness in 2012. During her recovery a deep curiosity to better understand the mechanics of her mind propelled her down a new, science-communication path, resulting in science-art collaborations with Cambridge neuroscientists, a TEDx talk and two books. In 2021 Vanessa co-founded ParkBathe, a citizen science, green health initiative in collaboration with Derby University. The project encourages sceptics to experience a 1hr forest bathing session in an urban park. Vanessa also hosts the ParkBathe podcast. More recently Vanessa has started a meditation group for women that meet on Fridays in Crystal Palace park. www.vanessapotter.com
