Children's Pottery Workshop 2

This half term drop your children with us for our Pottery Workshop creating unique animals suitable for ages 6-12 yrs. Their ceramic pieces will then be fired and gloss glazed ready to collect from The Paxton Centre from Sun 5th March.

Tutored by Mariia Shub our current exhibiting artist.

I am a professional Ukrainian artist and ceramicist who has also worked as a production designer and art director in film, animation and theatre. For many years I have run art courses in schools and summer camps for adults, family groups and children of all ages, experimenting with collages, murals, acrylics, water colours, mosaics and ceramics."

"I have been teaching privately since 1998 and have run my own art-workshop where I teach children and adults alike. I believe that everyone is united by the pleasure of creating, and it leads to a change in state after the lesson, a positive emotional experience that binds us. I also have a deep understanding of the therapeutic possibilities of art, having organized workshops for children in remission from cancer and for parents who had experienced the loss of a child. These skills have their root in my own personal experience within a medical care setting. It is interesting for me to find where a person has a gift, pick up techniques and materials, and show how, with the help of art, we can cope.

Workshop fee includes juice and water plus fruit and pastry snacks.
