Benjamin Medd-Phillps’ practice is rooted in painting, printmaking and drawing. As an expat living abroad his work often exudes nomadic qualities, executed through rhythmic gestures and expressionistic colours. There is never a predetermined plan when he starts a new work in the studio, but rather embraces the unknown outcomes. His work oscillates between figuration and abstraction.
