Introduction to Pottery

This course is designed to give beginners a rounded experience of pottery and the several techniques we use to create ceramic pieces. Over 6 weeks you will learn how to make a set of tiles, coil built bowls, pinch pots, lidded boxes or vases and mugs using various resources and equipment available to you. You will also be given a go on the potters wheel within the course. Incorporated are 2 glazing sessions where you will be able to choose from a wide range of glazes.

* Should this course be postponed due to Covid19 it will be rescheduled and we will run it on an alternative start date.

* The Paxton Centre is Covid Secure with fresh air flow and ventilation, several sanitizing stations, social distancing measures in place and regular cleaning routines.

The course fee is £175 for 15 hrs qualified tuition with all materials and firing included. You can secure your place with a non returnable £25 deposit then the 2 further instalments of £75 in week 1 and 3.
